Contrasting nails: saturated and grayscale.

After my last post about a few different ways to wear shades of tangerine, I really wanted to feature Wet n Wild Club Havana in a NOTD to show how it looks on the nail.  The first half of this post will be just that!  However, I decided to change my nails yesterday when I realized that my parents and I were going to an event for my dad's work that evening.  Bright, almost-neon nails probably wouldn't be the best thing for a dressy event, so I decided to go with a more muted manicure (ha, you think?).  That being said, this post will be two NOTDs in one- as you'll see, they are at the opposite ends of the spectrum!

(Apologies for the condition of my nails in these pictures, folks!  My middle finger nail snagged 1/3 of the way down and is still healing; my ring finger nail also snagged but the entire portion was pulled off.  OUCH.  That's why the tips of my nails are looking a little wonky, though!)

This is going to be one of my favorites come warmer weather- it's just a fun color to have on your nails.  While I normally prefer more pink-based corals, I'm getting used to how orange Club Havana is.  It's a nice change!

And lastly, I used one of my old Dr.'s Remedy shades from Holiday 2010 for my dad's work event last night:

Healing Gray is very, very similar to Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Cement if you have that one- a medium gray that leans ever-so-slightly blue but with enough yellow to make it neutral.
This was actually a great complement to the array of colors I've been wearing lately.  When I have on deep blue rolled pants, a lavender slouchy sweater, and a peach-toned crossbody purse, the gray made me feel a bit more sophisticated to say the least!

My nail posts are always so boring, haha, I apologize!  I wish I had the time/patience to do various forms of nail art, but I can never stand to take more than 10 minutes on my nails.  If you have any cool nail posts or inspiration, I'd love to check them out for fun!
