Before I get into this post, I wanted to quickly mention that I'm in the process of tallying up the entries for my Shabby Apple giveaway! I'm now officially on spring break so I finally have some time to get things sorted out. Once I choose the winner, they will be notified via email and Shabby Apple will send the dress directly to them. :)
Today I wanted to share with you my top favorite shades for spring nail polish! I've had the remnants of a manicure I did using Revlon Lilac Pastelle on my nails for the past... cough cough, few weeks, so it was past time to redo them. Besides, I don't know how the weather is where you guys are, but it's been gorgeous here! And it's putting me in the perfect mood to get spring inspired with some fun shades. Keep reading to see which ones I'm loving right now.
L-R: Hard Candy Sky, ELF Moonlight, Wet n Wild Through The Grapevine, Icing Weekend Rendezvous, Revlon Minted
Pastels- Shown here I have Hard Candy Sky, a creamy baby blue, and Revlon Minted, a creamy pale mint green. As far as pastels go, I also love to bring out my Revlon Lilac Pastelle and Peach Parfait. Spring is the perfect time to bring out pastel shades because they are a happy medium of muted and vivid. Have you guys seen the new Sally Hansen Smooth & Perfect Color+Care polishes at your local drugstores? They have some CUTE pastels that I'm thinking would be fun for easter.
Metallics- I'm a big fan of "antique" metallic shades (if that is even a valid description!). The one I have here, ELF Moonlight, is an almost-silver-but-not-quite and looks to have the teeniest bit of gold to it. Typically, I find these easier to wear than straight-up silver or gold. Metallic finishes are also fun for something different than your standard shimmer or cream- and for an accent finger!
Brights- Tangerine, teal, and fuschia shades are the trend this spring, and I love how easily they can transition into summer as well. From my stash I pulled Wet n Wild Megalast polish in Through The Grapevine and the pinky-coral Icing Weekend Rendezvous, which is an oldie-but-goodie from years ago (I'm not sure if they still sell it at Icing stores- it might be discontinued and I apologize in advance if it is!). Yesterday, I purchased a super bright orange polish by Wet n Wild called Club Havana. I'll do a NOTD post with that, soon!
Swatches:
The great part about all of these nail polishes is that they are all super affordable! I don't remember the exact prices for the Icing and Hard Candy polishes, but I know I didn't pay over $5 for any one.
That being said, these are just some examples; definitely search through your own stash for shades you already own! The idea is to hopefully help you to feel more spring-y and happy about the new season. I know I cheer up when I wear a fun shade of nail polish. :)
What are your favorites for spring? I'd love to hear and get ideas! Thanks for reading and have a lovely rest of your weekend. <3
