Have you guys taken part in the ULTA 21 Days of Beauty event currently going on? It started Sunday (March 11) and goes through the end of March; along with special in-store events, every day ULTA features a different "Beauty Steal" which is a discount on a particular product. They kicked it off on Sunday by offering the Too Faced Naked Eye palette on sale for $20, and today they marked down one of my favorite mascaras- Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes- to only $10! Of course I had to get myself over there to pick one up (although you can take part in the Beauty Steals online, too). I mentioned this in my last post and it happens to be perfect timing- I'm just finishing my current tube of Lights, Camera, Lashes so I was in desperate need of a new one.
As you can guess, I took this as another opportunity for some retail therapy. I know, I know, that's the last thing I need to be doing right now, but it's so much fun to actually "allow" myself to go shopping this semester (usually I'm incredibly stingy with my money)! I just decided that it's OK every now and then to splurge, and in my defense, I haven't spent a lot of money on makeup this semester. How does that sound for rationalizing my purchases? :)
Anyway, along with the Tarte mascara I also picked up a product I've been interested in trying- the new L'Oreal Magic Lumi primer. I printed out one of those $3.50 off $10.00 coupons, making the $12.99 retail price a little more manageable. I haven't tried this out on my face yet, but I still thought it would be fun to post pictures/swatches for your viewing pleasure! It's really pretty and I like the looks of it so far (I'll post a review after I've developed an opinion on it). And now, moving on to the pictures:

As you can see, the primer gives off a really subtle luminescence. I'm so anxious to try this out- I'm all for anything that will give my skin a "glow" without being frosty/shimmery!
