For beauty junkies everywhere, this October 18th marks a very special and exciting day! That's right- the Sephora Friends & Family sale is around the corner (and according to blogs I've read the discount is 20%). I've never actually made a purchase during this sale, but with recent collections coming out left and right I think it's hard to resist much longer! Here are some of my top picks- a few are new or LE, and others have just been on my "to buy" list for far too long. What are you planning to pick up when this year's Friends & Family begins?
1. OCC Lip Tar in Vintage ($16.00)
I would be buying this purely because of that shade of red. I haven't actually looked at it in store, but based off of reviews/swatches online, Vintage is a GORGEOUS deepened burgundy red. While Lip Tars aren't my favorite formula (just a little messier than a normal lipstick), they sure last a long freakin' time.
2. Illamasqua Precision Ink in Havoc ($27.50)
I keep trying to decide what makes this liquid eyeliner nearly $30. It seems like way too much money, but regardless, I've been wanting a reddish/burgundy shade of eyeliner like this for the longest time (it was this or trying to find Dark Diversion via a blog sale). Do they sell Illamasqua in Sephora stores? I'd love to try this out before I buy it online but I can't remember ever seeing a Illamasqua display (I don't think I've looked too carefully, though!).
3. Disney Cinderella Collection Storylook eyeshadow palette ($55.00)
How cute is this!? We need more eyeshadow like a hole in the head, but this one might be worth it if the quality is there.
4. Fresh Sugar Addiction Mini Lip Collection ($48.00)
Shame on my sister and Sephora's Beauty Insider birthday gifts this year for getting me hooked on Fresh Sugar tinted lip balms. I seriously just can't. $22.50 for a tinted lip balm is CRAZY to me but I LOVE these. This set comes with six of the mini sizes- the same as what you get as the Beauty Insider birthday gift- and even though it's a little pricey, it has all the new and classic shades! Adorable.
5. BareMinerals Ready Foundation SPF 20 in Fairly Medium ($29.00)
This has been on my wishlist before the new Ready foundations were even officially out. I loved the finish of the older version (my only beef was that it didn't last all day), so this compact form seems like all that and a bag a chips (chips? crackers?). Has anyone tried this? I'd love to know if it's better/worse/on par with the original version!
Hope you are doing well! It's been far too long since I've been here- I won't even get into specifics on how busy my life has been lately- and I miss you all!
