Thankful for little accomplishments & creating new goals (Thankful Thursdays linkup)

1 Thess-Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday!  Today I’m linking up once again with Carly and some other lovely ladies to share what I’ve been thankful for this past week. :)

I decided over the weekend that I really need a cat in my life… so, once I have a better grasp on where I’ll be in the months following graduation, I think I’m going to get one!  That’s going to be my motivation (and reward) for finding a full-time job- I’m so excited.

Next thing I have to mention is (surprise!) regarding makeup- Tracy’s post on the upcoming Sephora+Pantone Universe Radiant Orchid collection has me lemming EVERYTHING.  I’m so excited for this to launch!  Check out her blog this week, as I think she’s going to be reviewing everything soon.

Lea_Michele_-_Louder_(Official_Album_Cover)

Currently on repeat is Lea Michele’s newest album.  I’m absolutely obsessed with the song Louder, plus a handful of others.  Her voice is seriously amazing (and reminds me a lot of Demi Lovato)!

If you’re following me on Instagram (I was tweeting about it, too), you might have seen a few pictures over the weekend from a photo shoot I worked on.  The major project in my capstone fashion business class was to put on the photo shoot for a local magazine’s fashion spread (created by Chicago-area teens), and it was so much fun!  We had a professional makeup artist and hair stylist that were seriously awesome.  The models were the best, too- above are a few snapshots I took “behind the scenes.”

Lastly, I’ve been trying to eat healthier in the past few months and these homemade salads are my favorite thing.  I made this one on Monday and am obsessed- it has avocado, honeycrisp apple slices, red onions, sugar snap peas, feta cheese, plus some seasonings and a balsamic vinaigrette I made.  Salads can be so tasty and are so easy to put together!

What have you been thankful for this week?  Thanks for reading, and don’t forget to check out the posts by Carly, Mia, Katie and Krystal to see who else has linked up!

I wasn’t so sure how I felt about the radiant orchid, but those products all look gorgeous! So spring/summer like! The photo shoot sounds so cool! I bet it was awesome to see everything come together in the end– and so fun to see the behind the scenes stuff as well! That salad looks amazing! I need to be more creative with my salads so I actually enjoy eating them more often!

Yes- I’m so excited to see the final photos! And ever since I started experimenting more with making my own salads, I find I want to eat them all the time. I’m sure that’s how it works with cooking in general, but I never do it so really don’t know. LOL. Hope you have a good weekend!

Paws Chicago is such a great organization!! We wanted to get a dog from there but our landlord ended up telling us we couldn’t haha, such a bummer! And that salad looks AMAZING, I don’t eat lettuce so this is right up my alley! Happy Thursday :)

It is! I went there a few times with my friend who wanted to get a dog, and I absolutely fell in love with the cat area.
Hope you have a great weekend! :)

  • Mia- MakeMeUpMia

I am LOVING the radiant orchid, can’t wait to get my hands on some :) How fun to work on that project, and that salad looks delicious. Can’t wait to see your new kitty someday soon.

I can’t wait for the collection to launch in-store! And me too- I really hope my landlord will be OK with a cat, otherwise I’ll just have to wait a few months (which is totally fine in the long run!). :) xox
